STRIVE is a Treatment and Pre-Independent Living Program contracted by the Department of Youth Services. The Program’s goals are to help youth engage in clinical services, education, develop independent living skills and participate in pro-social recreational activities in order develop self-awareness so that they can lead meaningful and successful lives. Youth meet with clinicians for individual and group therapy with a focus on DBT and Substance Use Treatment. The program school aids youth in completing their educational goals such as earning a high school diploma, attaining a HiSet or attending higher education courses. Youth in the Pre-Independent Living Program have the opportunity to obtain employment and attend school in the community. Youth meet regularly with a Life and Career Coach that helps identify and develop youth’s independent living skills such as resume writing, interview skills, budgeting, obtaining State IDs and driver’s licenses.
