EASTON, MA — The Old Colony YMCA – Easton Branch is inviting the community to Rediscover Your Local Y as it celebrates the YMCA's 175th Anniversary with expanded family programming, new member spaces, and a community-wide Birthday Bash on Saturday, January 24, 2026. The celebration marks 175 years of the YMCA’s mission to strengthen youth, families, and community through connection, wellness, and belonging.

Community Birthday Bash & New Space Launch

The family-friendly Birthday Bash, open to members and non-members, kicks off at 11 a.m. with Bluey meet and greets, face painting, birthday cake, inflatable igloos, and pool fun. Guests can also tour the Y, meet staff, inquire about programs and membership, and explore two new spaces:

• Kids Kave – a dedicated, engaging space designed just for kids
• The Hub – a new community focused area created for connection, recreation, and belonging

A $1 Down to Join membership promotion will be available during the event.

Beyond traditional sports, the Easton Y has expanded its Family Value Programming, offering daily experiences included with membership at no additional cost. Programs include:

• Family Splash Playdates
• Youth Basketball in partnership with Southeastern Regional
• Family Events
• Kids POUND® Youth Fitness
• Youth Get Going Sessions
• Family Open Swim and Open Play Times

“We’re focused on creating experiences that evolve with families,” said Amagin Bender, Family Value Coordinator at the Easton Y. “Whether it’s a child’s first swim lesson or their first basket on the court, the Y is a place where kids grow, connect, and feel they belong.”

The Old Colony YMCA – Easton Branch serves individuals and families of all ages through a wide range of programs and amenities, including unlimited group exercise classes, childcare and before- and after-school programs, KidZone childcare, LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA, aquatics programming, camps, and youth development opportunities.
